It’s been almost four years since the tragic loss of then Renault Sport Academy rising star Anthoine Hubert; a much-loved friend of the team and popular driver amongst the motorsport community.

Last week, at the 2023 Belgium Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly paid tribute to his dear friend Anthoine by organising the ‘Run for Anthoine’, a paddock wide, open invite to all F1, F2 and F3 personnel, to take on a lap of the 7km, Spa-Francorchamps Circuit.

Despite the wet, gloomy conditions, a couple of hundred people from the racing community, including drivers and team members from all categories, joined Pierre on the run, where all those had Anthoine and Dilano van ‘t Hoff - who tragically lost his life a month ago - firmly in their thoughts.

“The run was very emotional; it was a very meaningful moment for everyone to remember my friend. And for Dilano as well, who we lost a couple weeks ago,” Pierre said.

All those who took part wore a “Racing for Anthoine” t-shirt, making a stop at Eau Rouge to lay flowers and pay respects to Anthoine, before a second pause to remember Dilano, led by MP Motorsport.

Pierre and the team extends its thanks to those who supported the run.
